Players grip their paddles all sorts of ways. From using one of several traditional tennis grips to badminton grips to table tennis grips to how it landed in my hand grips.

You can play pickleball many different ways (there are many ways to peel the orange). But there is one grip that stands above all others and should be the grip you use unless you are already way down the road with another grip or can overcome the deficiencies presented by the other grips (e.g. if you can use your offhand to push the backhand over while using a western or semiwestern grip).
